I am excited to let all of you know that I will be traveling to Guinea, West Africa the end of April! This will be my first time to visit a PBT field and I feel like it is an important milestone in our ministry. Having firsthand experience on the field will help me to write better grant proposals for PBT and will strengthen my relationships with our mis-sionaries in West Africa. My reason for this specific trip is to fill a much needed role the first week of May. The West Africa Branch of PBT has three branch meetings per year where they dream and plan and seek God’s leading as a group. Many times there is no one to take care of the 20+ missionary kids during these sessions so different adults have to take turns with the kids and try to catch up when they come back to the meetings. An-other PBT missionary, Lana West, and I will be working with the children during the branch meetings. The missionaries are SO excited that we are coming to take over this responsibility for them!
Our plans also include trips to the villages where some of our missionaries live and a stop in France on the way home to spend time with missionaries there who are in lan-guage school. I will also be gathering infor-mation and pictures of different PBT pro-grams so that I will be better equipped to ap-proach foundations and major donors with our needs.
I am excited and nervous and thank-ful that God has put this trip before me. I have pursued other trips over the past year (it was even a prayer request in one of our newslet-ters last year) but God closed those doors. This time the trip found me and God is working out all the de-tails. I will need to raise the funds for this trip since we are at about 60% of our budget at this point. If you would like to contribute toward the expenses for this ministry trip, please send a check to:

You can also contact me at angie.weldy @pbti.org and I will walk you through the easy process to make a donation online with a debit/ credit card.
Our supporters are the best in the world and I so appreciate you sending me off with your encouragement, prayers and financial sup-port. THANK YOU!!

Going to Guinea!
Lauren was thrilled to attend the Daddy/Daughter dance for the first time with her daddy.
Giving to Our Ministry
Bible translation ministry is possible because of the generosity and commitment of God’s people. To make a tax-deductible contribu-tion toward our work with PBT by check, make your check payable to Pioneer Bible Translators and mail it to
Pioneer Bible Transla-tors, %Bobbi Weldy, 1911 Fairground Drive, Pleasant Hill, MO 64080. For tax-exemption purposes, please do not include the Weldy name on the check. If you are interested in contributing by credit card or electronic transfer, please contact us and we will walk you through the process on the website (www.pioneerbible.org)The kids played outside for short periods during their 5 snow days playing on the ice and making snow angels in the snow. Huge icicles formed on the house during our re-cord breaking cold days.
The kids were so excited about giving Matt his birthday presents!
Prayer and Praise
We continue to work on the Part-nership Development trip to Okla-homa over the kids’ Spring Break. Please pray that we will be able to fill our schedule with opportuni-ties to share about Bible transla-tion, PBT and our ministry.
Matt is working on PMI and the other summer courses and An-gie’s grant calendar is filling up. Please pray for our schedule – that
we will give God our best at work and in spending time as a family.
Pray for God to bring everything together for Angie’s trip to Guinea. Pray for her and Lana as they plan the activities for the missionary kids. They want to really minister to the children in a meaningful way. There will be about 19 children ranging in age from 2 to 20 years old. There
may be one or two other people there to help them as well.
We thank God for giving us sev-eral special times in the past month or so – Matt and Lauren enjoyed a Daddy/Daughter dance at church, we’ve had 5 (yes FIVE!) snow days to spend to-gether as a family, Matt had a fun 36
th birthday, and many others. God is good!
